TME 134M, a 1974 AEC Reliance, fitted with a Plaxton Elite C34C body. New to Glenton Tours, London, with the by then unusual centre entrance. Inside the entrance door, to the left, was a wardrobe for passengers' coats! When withdrawn, quite a few of these coaches headed to Scotland, where they were used on contract to Glenton Tours for their Scottish tours, the Glentons coach taking the passengers to the hotel in Scotland, then returning with the previous group south. By using former Glenton coaches on these tours, it meant that passengers kept the same seats on the coach, the livery being the only difference.

TME 134M is seen here in Whitby, North Yorkshire, whilst in preservation, on Sunday 22nd April 2007. Subsequently sold for further preservation, but then scrapped.

Life after being a bus.

Here we see three Plaxton Panorama bodied Leyland Leopards, all new to BMMO (later known as Midland Red).

SHA 645G, dating from 1969, BMMO fleet number 6145;
Q124 VOE, originally registewred GHA 326D, dating from 1966, BMMO 5826;
WHA 237H, dating from 1970, BMMO 6237.

Photograph taken at The Transport Museum, Wythall, Birmingham, on 5th April 2003.

WHA 237 had called in to The Transport Museum after delivering an AEC Reliance to Birmingham. SHA & Q124 were both resident at the museum. I believe that Q124 VOE has since been scrapped.

VLT 102
New in 1959 to London Transport, fleet number RM102, this AEC Routemaster with Park Royal H36/28R body, had hopped from one capital to another, being photographed in Paris, France in the ownership of Bateaux Mouches, a river boat sightseeing company, based at Port de la Conférence, Pont de l’Alma. It was converted to open top after export.

As can be seen in this photograph, taken on 14th July 2003, it still carries its' UK registration, so it most probably is used as a publicity asset.

Incidentally, Oxford Diecast made a model based on this bus.
