YJ55 YGM 2005 Optare Solo Optare B28F New to Scarlet Band Motor Services in 2005 for use on Durham Citys' then new Park & Ride operation. One of ten such vehicles, all fitted with Cummins ISBe engines, this was one of two left in the fleet when Scarlet Band ceased operation in October 2022, although off the road for almost a year owing to a frayed gear change cable. Offered for sale, it was eventually acquired by a preservationist, originally for spares but may end up being preserved. West Cornforth, County Durham 6th January 2023.

YJ62 FAM is a 2013 Optare Solo SR, fitted with a 31 seat body which was registered to new with Optare, probably acting as a demonstrator. It became a hire vehicle with Dawson Rentals, Rotherham, UK, from where Scarlet Band Bus & Coach hired it to cover for a vehicle shortage. Scarlet Band subsequently purchased the vehicle, and it is seen here on Wednesday 21st April 2021 at their depot in West Cornforth, County Durham.
